Deutsche Oper Berlin Announces Cast Changes for Three Productions

The Deutsche Oper Berlin has announced several cast changes for upcoming productions.

In “The Magic Flute” the company said that for the Oct. 19 performance, Kieran Carrel will take over the role of Tamino for Kangyoon Shine Lee while on Nov. 17, Kangyoon Shine Lee will take over the role of Tamino for Kieran Carrel.

For performances of “La Traviata” on Oct. 4, 8, and 12, 2024, Bogdan Baciu will sing the role of Giorgio Germont replacing Markus Brück.

Finally for the Oct. 21 performance of “Il Barbiere di Siviglia,” Friedrich Praetorius takes over the baton from Giulio Cilona.

Carrel and Lee will perform alongside Patrick Guetti, Joel Allison, Markus Brück, Maria Perlt-Gärtner, Hye-Young Moon, and Nina Solodovnikova.

 

Baciu will join a cast that includes Adela Zaharia and Amitai Pati. Dominic Limburg conducts.

Meanwhile, Praetorius conducts a cast that includes Kieran Carrel, Marco Filippo Romano, Martina Baroni, Dean Murphy, and Manuel Fuentes.
