Dean Murphy Signs Contract With Melos Opera

American baritone Dean Murphy has signed a contract with Melos Opera for worldwide management.

Murphy is currently a member of the ensemble at Deutsche Oper Berlin. This season he will debut the roles of Silvio in “I Pagliacci,” Heerufer in “Lohengrin,” and Prince Yeletsky in a new production of “Pique Dame.” Murphy will also debut in Ireland at the Blackwater Valley Music Festival as Achilla in “Giulio Cesare.”

He has also performed with the Opéra National de Lorraine, Opéra de Dijon, Oper Vlaanderen, and Müpa Budapest under the baton of Marc Albrecht to name a few. Murphy was a finalist in the Moniuszko Competition and the Tenor Viñas Competition.

Murphy received a Master of Music degree from Yale School of Music and holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from The Hartt School of Music.
