Connecticut Lyric Opera Announces New Dates for ‘Die Fledermaus’

Connecticut Lyric Opera has announced new dates for its previously postponed production of “Die Fledermaus.”

The opera, which was originally set for Dec. 26 and 30, 2021 and subsequently postponed due to a cast illness, will now take the stage on Feb. 20 at Bushnell, Hartford followed by a performance seven days later on the 27th at Trinity-On-Main in New Britain.

“Die Fledermaus” will star Deborah Lifton as Rosalinde with Daniel Kamalic as Gabriel von Eisentein. Maria Margiolakou will take on the role of Adele while Oswaldo Iraheta will be Alfred. Other cast members include Jacob Lassetter, Rongjun Li, Sung Shin, Rebecca Batista, Rachel Abrams, Rob Esposito, and Joey Taylor. Adrian Sylveen conducts while Jan Mason directs.

The production will be followed by Performances of J.S. Bach Cantatas, “We, the People,” and “Giulio Cesare in Egitto.”
