The Club for UNESCO of Piraeus and Islands and the International Action Art Organization will present the opera “Prometheus Bound” by composer Panagiotis Karousos on Oct. 25, 2026, at the Manos Loizos Cultural Center in Nikaia, Greece.

Based on the tragedy by Aeschylus, the performance is part of the International Cultural Festival “5 Continents.” Ioannis Maronitis, president of the Club for UNESCO of Piraeus and Islands, will deliver opening remarks. Karousos also serves as the production’s artistic director.

The cast includes Vasilis Dimitrakakis as Prometheus, Irini Konsta as Io, Rhea Voudouri as Oceanid, Nadia Karagianni as Coryphée, Varvara Kyritsi as Via and the goddess Athena, Kostas Venetsanos as Zeus, Eleni Gogou as Hera, Maria Grigoriou as Nymph and Amphitrite, Giannis Darios as Hephaestus and State, Athanasios Lianos as Ocean, and Yannos Kotzias as Hermes.

Christiana Manou will perform piano, with the choir and Ancient Dance department of the Pan Epirotic Association of Eleusis, led by Gogou, also taking part.
