Chicago Fringe Opera Unveils Fall 2022 Season

Chicago Fringe Opera has unveiled its fall 2022 season.

The season kicks off with “Corsair,” the company’s contribution to the Decameron Opera Coalition’s 2022 film series “Tales from a Safe Distance.”

The opera film will be screened as part of Opera Philadelphia’s Festival O22.

Screening Date: Sept. 28, 2022 

Next up is “La Jetée,” a collaboration with Access Contemporary Music and Lux Cantorum. The work by Seth Boustead and J. Robert Lennon’s is an adaptation of the 1962 science fiction film which was later remade by Terry Gilliam in “12 Monkeys.”

The opera will be conducted by Catherine O’Shaughnessy and director George Cederquist. It will star Samuel Dewese, Brennan Martinez, Evan William Nelson, and Dorian McCall.

Performance Date: Nov. 8 & 10, 2022

The season closes with another collaboration with the Decameron Opera Coalition. This time, the company will present Matthew Recio and Jenna Lanzaro’s “DOC the Halls.”

Performance Date: December 2022
