Music at Co-Cath will showcase a summer recital featuring Couperin’s “Leçon de Ténèbres” on May 18, 2025.

The performance, set to take place at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church in Brooklyn starting at 4:30 p.m. local time, will feature soprano Charlotte Bagwell, Alejandro Zuleta on continuo, and Charlie Reed on viola de gamba.

Bagwell is a Texas native who has performed with the Aspen Opera Center, New Amsterdam Opera, Classic Lyric Arts, Music on Site, Mannes Opera, Teatro Nuovo, Camerata New York, Peabody Symphony Orchestra, and Shakespeare Opera Theatre.

Music at Co-Cath recently presented “El Oratorio Panhispánico” this past April 2025 to close out its 2024-25 season. Other productions in its 2024-25 season included Joby Talbot’s “Path of Miracles” and “A Community Christmas.”
