Central City Opera to Present Lunch & Learn Series

The Central City Opera in Colorado is set to present Lunch and Learn.

The series goes behind the scenes in a 30-minute zoom with a 15 minute Q&A on the company’s upcoming projects. On March 30, the Central City Opera will present “Rigoletto: A Music Historian’s Perspective” with Betsy Schwarm, the pre-performance Speaker with Opera Colorado and the Colorado Symphony.

This time the company will answer what led Giuseppe Verdi to write his masterpiece “Rigoletto” and how this opera was a creative landmark and the source of so much controversy. Music historian will Schwarm will offer an intriguing perspective on “Rigoletto” and the impact this opera continues to have on the music world today.

“Rigoletto” opens on Juy 10 and is set to star Aleksey Bogdanov, Alisa Jordheim, and Gaelano Salas.
