Cecilia Duarte, Myriam Leblanc, Ellen McAteer, James Reese, Joanne Lunn Headline Tafelmusik’s 2026-27 Season

Tafelmusik’s 2026-27 concert season is announced.

This article only features vocal concerts. 

Tafelmusik continues its collaboration with Opera Atelier in Charpentier’s “The Descent of Orpheus.”

Performance Dates: October 22 – 25, 2026


Cecilia Duarte performs in “Baroque Fiesta.” Lina Tur Bonet directs the concert featuring works by Handel and Vivaldi, along with music of the Spanish Golden Age, and selections shaped by African, Indigenous, and Spanish
traditions.

Performance Dates: October 29 – November 1, 2026


“Vive la France!” features music by Lully, Charpentier, Campra, Lalande, Mondonville, and Rameau. Ivars Taurins directs Tafelmusik’s orchestra and choir.

Performance Dates: November 27 – 29, 2026


Händel’s “Messiah” features soloists Myriam Leblanc, Cecilia Duarte, Jacob Perry Jr, and Jesse Blumberg with Tafelmusik’s orchestra and choir. Ivars Taurins directs.

Performance Dates: December 17 – 19, 2026


The same cast presents Tafelmusik’s tradition of “Sing-Along Messiah.”

Performance Date: December 20, 2026


Bach’s “St John Passion” stars Joanne Lunn, Nicholas Burns, James Gilchrist, and Peter Harvey with Tafelmusik’s orchestra and choir. Kristian Bezuidenhout directs.

Performance Dates: March 11–14, 2027


Händel’s “The Resurrection” is presented in collaboration with Opera Atelier.

Performance Dates: April 15–18, 2027


Ellen McAteer, James Reese, Parker Clements, and Nicholas Higgs star in Purcell’s “King Arthur.”  Ivars Taurins directs.

Performance Dates: April 23–25, 2027
