
Camille Sherman Joins Fletcher Artist Management
By Francisco SalazarMezzo-soprano Camille Sherman has joined the roster of Fletcher Artist Management for worldwide management.
This season Sherman makes her debut at the Opéra de Québec as Angelina in “La Cenerentola” and returns to Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden for her second season as an Ensemble Artist, singing Dorabella in “Così fan tutte,” Hänsel in “Hänsel und Gretel,” Flora in “La traviata,” and Mother Spring in “Snow Maiden.” She also reprises the roles of Mercédès in “Carmen” and Rosina in “Il barbiere di Siviglia.”
Sherman has been part of the Des Moines Metro Opera’s Apprentice Artist Program and a member of the Portland Opera Resident Artist Program. She has also been featured at Pensacola Opera, Pensacola Symphony Orchestra and Naples Philharmonic.
The mezzo was a 2023 National Semifinalist in the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition and has been Finalist in the Premiere Opera Foundation International Vocal Competition (2022), the Giulio Gari Foundation International Vocal Competition, Tier 1 of the James Toland Vocal Arts Competition, and Brava! Opera Theater Competition.
