
Renée Fleming to to Perform at Telluride Bluegrass Festival
By Francisco SalazarRenée Fleming is set to take the stage of the 2026 Telluride Bluegrass Festival.
The soprano will perform a concert on June 19, 2026 alongside Béla Fleck.
Fleming will collaborate with Fleck for “The Fiddle and the Drum,” featuring My Bluegrass Heart, an all-new collaboration between the legendary soprano and banjo luminary.
In a statement says Planet Bluegrass’s Craig Ferguson said, “We thought we knew all the tricks up Bela’s sleeve by now, but here he comes with a new collaboration to blow our socks off in such a deep and beautiful way that you’d never expect it.”
The two will also collaborate at the Spoleto Festival.
It is not the first time Fleming does crossover music. The soprano has experimented with jazz and rock music recording songs for films and a rock album.
The Telluride Bluegrass Festival was founded in 1974 and occurs annually during the summer solstice. It is a four day experience that invites inviting music fans to the historic mining town in the San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado.
