Brooklyn Art Song Society to Present ‘Histories V: The Viennese School

Brooklyn Art Song Society is set to present Histories V: The Viennese School on Feb. 2, 2025.

The concert will feature lieder by Mozart and Haydn and music by Beethoven.

The soloists include sopranos Ashley Emerson and Maggie Finnegan, mezzo-soprano Katherine Lerner, and baritone Michael Kelly. They will be accompanied by pianists Mike Brofman, Brent Funderburk, and Joel Harder.

There will be a pre-concert lecture before the concert.

This season the company has presented the concert series Histories with the themes “Das Wort, “Lachrimae,””Medieval,” and “Renaissance.” The season concludes with Histories: “Goethe.”
