Brooklyn Art Song Society to Present Final Concert in Schubert Festival

The Brooklyn Art Song Society will conclude its Schubert Festival with “Schwanengesang” on Saturday, March 13, 2021.

The concert will feature tenor Dominic Armstrong and Joel Harder, soprano Kristina Bachrach, and baritone Michael Kelly accompanied by clarinetist Narek Arutyunian and pianists Michael Brofman and Joel Harder.

The first half of the concert will feature Kelly and Brofman taking on “Widerschien,” “Des Fischers Liebeglück,” and “Der Winterabend.” Then Bachrach, Arutyunian, and Brofman will perform “Der Hirt auf dem Felsen.” After intermission Armstrong and Harder will perform “Schwanegesang.”

The show will be broadcast live at 7:30 p.m. from the Soapbox Gallery in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn.

Ths is the sixth concert in the Brooklyn Art Song Society’s Schubert season which kicked off in early October and featured performances by such artists as Amy Owens, Blythe Gaissert, Steven Eddy, Tyler Duncan, Andrew Fuchs, Jorell Williams, Nils Neubert, and Sarah Nelson Craft, among others.
