British Youth Opera Announces New Chief Executive
By Francisco SalazarThe British Youth Opera has announced the appointment of Anna Patalong as its Chief Executive.
The company noted that its Chief Executive, Nicola Candlish, will be leaving the company after four years. As a result, Patalong will take over from the end of the month.
Patalong has been working with BYO’s friends and supporters over the last few years and has also been performing as an international soprano on the stages of opera houses around the world. She has also performed with the BYO as a young singer in 2007, 2008, and 2010.
The British Youth Opera provides professional opportunities for singers, musicians, and technical trainees and participants are normally in the middle of their formal musical education or have just finished and are about to begin their professional careers.
