Bradyworks to Present World Premiere of ‘MARS: Signs of Life’
By David SalazarBradyworks will present the world premiere of “MARS: Signs of Life,” a chamber opera with music by Tim Brady and libretto by Alexis Diamond, on December 3, 2026 at Centaur Theatre in Montreal.
MARS: Signs of Life is the third installment in Brady’s chamber opera tetralogy “HOPE (and the dark matter of history),” following “Backstage at Carnegie Hall” (2022) and “INFORMATION” (2024). The production features sopranos Bronwyn Thies-Thompson and Sarah Albu alongside mezzo-soprano Marie-Annick Béliveau, with Evelynn Yan as a solo dancer embodying the planet Mars.
Anne-Marie St.-Louis will be the stage director, with Georges-Étienne D’Entremont as musical director.
The production is performed in English with bilingual surtitles. There will also be performances on Dec. 4 and 5, 2026.
