Boulder Bach Festival Announces 2021-22 Season

Boulder Bach Festival in Colorado has announced its 2021-22 season.

For the purposes of this article, our focus will be solely on operatic and vocal performances.

First up will be a series of performances of Händel’s “Messiah” starring  Mara Riley, Claire McCahan, Dan Hutchings, and Adam Ewing. The showcase will also feature Corelli’s Concerto Noel.

Performance Dates: Dec. 17 & 19, 2021

Voices of the Chamber will feature mezzo-soprano Claire McCahan, the top prize winner at World Bach Competition in a program that features Bach’s “Motet: Komm, Jesu, komm” BWV 229 as well as an aria by Johann Christoph Bach. The concert will also feature a number of other major artists also taking on music by Bach, Telemann, Leonarda, and Legrenzi.

Performance Dates: May 13, 2022

Soprano Josefien Stoppelenburg will be among the headliners of “Next Generations,” performing lieder by Clara Schumann. The concert will also feature music by Gabriela Lena Frank and Mozart.
