Beth Morrison Projects Unveils 2022-23 Season

Beth Morrison Projects has announced its 2022-23 season.

The season will be divided up into performances in New York, LA, and U.S. tours.

New York

The New York season kicks off with “Song Cycles.” This work features music by Tamar-Kali Brown, Yaz Lancaster, and Tanyaradzwa Tawengwa and Nzou Mambano.

Performance Dates: Oct. 28 & 29, 2022 

Part of the New York season will be the Prototype Festival which kicks off in January of 2023.

Los Angeles

The LA season will feature “Trade / Mary Motorhead” by Emma O’Halloran.” The double bill will feature Kyle Bielfield, Marc Kudisch, and Naomi Louisa O’Connell.

Performance Dates: April 27 – 30, 2023 

US Tour

The company will tour “Black Lodge” by David T. Little and Anne Waldman. The work will feature Timur and the Dime Museum, Opera Philadelphia Quartet, and Jennifer Harrison Newman. The showcase will be presented as part of Opera Philadelphia’s Festival O22.

Performance Dates: Oct. 1 & 2, 2022

The company then tours Huang Ruo and Basil Twist’s “Book of Mountains & Seas” at Virginia Tech. The showcase stars Ars Nova Copenhagen and music director Paul Hillier.

Performance Dates: March 24, 2023

Finally, audiences in Seattle will get to hear “Train With No Midnight” at On The Boards in Seattle. The showcase will feature musical arrangements by Matthew Dean Marsh, Michael Hanf, and Dan Bartfield, and is composed by Joseph Keckler, who also performs.

Performance Dates: Nov. 28 – Dec. 3, 2023
