On June 27, Jonas Kaufmann is set to perform at the Waldbühne alongside the Berlin Philharmonic and Kirill Petrenk in a program titled “Viva Italia.”

The program will see the star tenor perform music by Ruggero Leoncavallo, Licinio Refice, Francesco Cilea, and Umberto Giordano. There will also be excerpts from Ottorino Respighi, Giuseppe Verdi, and Pietro Mascagni.

The concert will be streamed and broadcast on the The Digital Concert Hall, 3sat, RBB Fernsehen, and Radio3. On July 12, Das Erste will show a recording.

Due to high temperatures the Berlin Philharmonic has recommend that audiences stay well hydrated, use sun protection and wear light clothing. The orchestra has also added that audiences members should allow a little extra time for their journey and check the weather forecast before traveling. Free drinking water will be available at water stations throughout the venue, and additional first-aid personnel will be on duty.
