The Bayerische Staatsoper has announced several cast changes for its Jan. 4 of “Die Zauberflöte.”

The company said that Louise Alder will sing the role of Pamina taking over for Ying Fang.

Meanwhile, Alina Wunderlin will sing the role of the Queen of the Night taking over for Jessica Pratt.

This season Alder performs at the Bayerische Staatsoper in a production of “Le Nozze di Figaro” as well as at the Wiener Staatsoper and Royal Danish Opera. Wunderlin is making her Bayerische Staatsoper debut and this season performs at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz and Staatsoper Hamburg, among others.

They will join a cast that includes Tareq Nazmi, Giovanni Sala, Martin Snell, and Seonwoo Lee. Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider conducts the production by August Everding.
