Louise Alder Joins MWA for General Management

Alder is currently starring as Cleopatra in David McVicar’s iconic production of “Giulio Cesare” at Glyndebourne Festival. She is well-known for having performed at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, Wiener Staatsoper, Glyndebourne Festival, Bayerische Staatsoper, Carnegie Hall, and the Wigmore Hall, where she held a widely acclaimed artistic residency in 2024.
She is a former member of the ensemble of Oper Frankfurt and Dame Joan Sutherland Audience Prize winner of the 2017 Cardiff Singer of the World Competition. Alder has recorded extensively including such operas as “Theodora” for Alpha Classics, “The Rape of Lucretia” for Opus Arte, and Handel’s “Semele” for SDG.
Next season she performs at the Wiener Staatsoper, San Francisco Opera, Glyndebourne, and Bayerische Staatsoper.
