The Bach Choir of Pittsburgh will present “Motown Maria” on May 3 and 4, 2025.

The showcase, under the direction of Artistic Director Thomas Douglas, will feature performances of such songs as Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”, “I Want You Back”, “Baby Love”, “Respect”, and “Signed, Sealed, Delivered.”

“Motown is all about soul, harmony, and rhythm — it’s music that tells a story and moves people,” said Douglas. “We’re thrilled to blend the power of choral singing with the infectious energy of these classic songs, bringing a fresh and deeply resonant experience to our audience,” said an official press release issued by the company.

The showcase on May 4 kicks off at 7:30 p.m., while the one the next day has a 4 p.m. start time.
