Bach Choir of Pittsburgh to Present ‘A Choral Celebration of Black History’

Bach Choir of Pittsburgh will present “A Choral Celebration of Black History” on Feb. 22 and 23, 2025.

The performance will feature choral works written and arranged by Black composers from the 1800s through today. Audiences will hear music by Adolphus Hailstork, Duke Ellington, Billy Strayhorn, Nathaniel Dett, Mark Butler, Undine Smith Moore, Margaret Bonds, and Leslie Adams, among others.

The showcase is set to take the stage at the Eastminster Presbyterian Church at 4 p.m. local time.

Next up, the ensemble will present “Motown Mania” in May.
