The Mozartists will present “La finta giardiniera” to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its MOZART 250 series.

The showcase is set for March 25, 2025 at Cadogan Hall. Headlining the showcase will be Ava Dodd as Sandrina, Camilla Harris as Arminda, Milly Forrest as Serpetta, Laura Fleur as Ramiro, Hugo Brady as Belfiore, Michael Bell as Podestà, and Jerome Knox as Nardo.

Ian Page conducts the opera, which had its world premiere back in 1775 in Munich. The authorship of the opera’s libretto remains up for debate with the work being ascribed to Calzabigi and Giuseppe Petrosellini. In 1780, Mozart converted the work to a Singspiel called Die Gärterin aus Liebe” and rewrote some of the music.

The March 25 performance commences at 7 p.m. local time.
