By David SalazarMezzo-soprano Anna Tonna and pianist Walter Aparicio will present “Sendero Mágico (Magic Path),” on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the David Greer Recital Hall of the Bloomingdale School of Music in New York.
The recital kicks off at 3 p.m. and offers a musical and personal journey through works for piano and voice by composers from Spain, Latin America, and the United States, reflecting the dual identities of both artists as New Yorkers and members of the Latinx community. Among the composers featured on the program are Palomo, Llorca, Florence Price, and Caba. Tonna and Aparicio will also feature the world premiere of a new work by Ramiro Soriano Arce.
Tonna appeared in recitals and concerts at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Auditorio Nacional de Música (Madrid), and the Festival Internacional de Música y Danza de Granada.
The mezzo-soprano has also been a champion of contemporary composers and a leading advocate for Iberian and Latin American art song.
