Anna Pirozzi, Nicole Car & Martina Serafin Headline Wiener Staatsoper’s Streaming Slate

The Wiener Staatsoper has announced the streams of the week.

The week begins with Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake” from a 2014 performance. The performance stars Olga Esina, Vladimir Shishov, and Eno Peci.

Streaming Date: May 4, 2021

Grieg’s “Peer Gynt” will be streamed from a 2018 performance with Jakob Feyferlik, Alice Firenze, Eno Peci, and Zsolt Török.

Streaming Date: May 5, 2021

Plácido Domingo, Freddie De Tommaso, Riccardo Zanellato, and Anna Pirozzi’s 2021 performance of Verdi’s “Nabucco” will be streamed twice in the week. Marco Armiliato conducts Günter Krämer’s production.

Streaming Dates: May 6 & 10, 2021

Adam’s “Giselle” will be streamed from a 2017  performance starring Nina Poláková, Masayu Kimoto, Andrey Kaydanovskiy, and Rebecca Horner.

Streaming Date: May 7, 2021

Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin will be streamed from a 2020 performance conducted by Tomáš Hanus. Andrè Schuen, Nicole Car, Bogdan Volkov, Anna Goryachova, and Dimitry Ivashchenko star.

Streaming Date: May 8, 2021

Martina Serafin, Daniela Sindram, Günther Groissböck, Erin Morley,and  Jochen Schmeckenbecher star in R. Strauss’ “Der Rosenkavalier” from a performance in 2020. Philippe Jordan conducts the production by Otto Schenk.
