Anna Netrebko is set to perform Puccini’s “Tosca” next summer at the Salzburg Festival.

The summer announced via Facebook that she would be returning to the festival in the title role.

Netrebko debuted the role of “Tosca” at the Metropolitan Opera during the 2017-18 season with OperaWire calling her interpretation a triumph.

The soprano is set to reprise her interpretation this season at the Metropolitan Opera and will open the 2019-20 season of the Teatro alla Scala in a new production by Davide Livermore. She also sings the role at the Royal Opera House with Sir Antonio Pappano conducting.

Netrebko next makes her debut at the Bayreuth Festival and sings concert performances of “Adriana Lecouvreur” at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. She also returns to the Metropolitan Opera for “Macbeth” and Semperoper Dresden for “Don Carlo.”
