Anna Netrebko to Perform at Philharmonie de Paris

Soprano Anna Netrebko will perform a double recital at the Philharmonie de Paris on Nov. 11, 2020.

The soprano will give the first recital at 5:00 p.m CET, and the second one will follow at 8:30 p.m. at the Grande salle Pierre Boulez.

Anna Netrebko will be joined onstage by the mezzo-soprano Elena Maximova. Giovanni Andrea Zanon will play the violin, while Malcolm Martineau will be at the piano.

The program will include Rachmaninoff’s “Siren,” Op. 21 No. 5, “U moego okna,” Op. 26, No. 10, and “Zdes’ horosho,” Op. 21, No. 7; Rimski-Korsakov’s “Zvonche zhavoronka pen’e,” Op. 43 No.1; Richard Strauss’ “Morgen,” Op. 27, No. 4; Debussy’s “Il pleure dans mon cœur,” L. 60, No. 2; Charpentier’s “Louise, Depuis le jour”; Tchaikovsky’s “To bylo ranneju vesnoj,” Op. 38, N0. 2, and “Skazhi o chem v teni vetvej,” Op. 57, No. 1; Bridge’s “Go not, happy day”; Leoncavallo’s “Mattinata,” Op. 5; Tchaikovsky’s duet with Lisa and Polina from “The Queen of Spades”; Rimski-Korsakov’s “Redeet oblakov letuchaja grjada,” Op. 42, No. 3; Rachmaninoff’s “Ne poy krasavitsa,” Op. 4, No. 4; Richard Strauss’ “Die Nacht,” Op. 10, No.3, and “Ständchen,” Op. 17, No. 2; Fauré’s “Après un rêve,” Op. 7, No. 1; Dvořák’s “Kdyz mne stara matka,” Op. 55; Rachmaninoff’s “Son,” Op. 38, No. 5; Offenbach’s Barcarolle from “Les Contes d’Hoffmann”; and Tchaikovsky’s “Den’ li carit,” Op. 47, No. 6.

Netrebko’s recital at the Philharmonie de Paris will follow her recital at the Teatro alla Scalla on Oct. 21, 2020. The soprano is recovering from COVID-19 pneumonia after her performance in Verdi’s “Don Carlos” at the Bolshoi Theater in September 2020.
