Anna Netrebko & Piotr Beczala Win Association of Music Critics of Argentina Awards

Anna Netrebko and Piotr Beczala have won awards from the Association of Music Critics of Argentina.

Netrebko won the award for Best Female Foreign Singer, while Beczala won for Best Male Foreign Singer. The soprano was recognized for her performances of “Tosca,” while the tenor was honored for his acclaimed recital at the famed Argentine theater.

Other winners included Fabian Veloz and Daniela Tabernig who were recognized as Best Argentine Singers. The chorus award went to the Coro Estable del Teatro Colon, while the Best Production accolade went to “L’Elisir d’Amore” from the Teatro Colon.

Netrebko is currently performing the role of Lady Macbeth at the Teatro alla Scala and is set to return to the Arena di Verona for “Aida.” Beczala next performs at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in a concert with Sondra Radvanovsky.
