Premieres
Smetana’s “The Bartered Bride” will get a new production by Dirk Schmeding. The cast will be headed by Franz Xaver Schlecht, Margaret Plummer, Slávka Zámečníková, Ivo Stanchev, Monika Bohinec, Pavol Breslik, Michael Laurenz, Peter Kellner, Matthäus Schmidlechner, Ilia Staple, and Alex Ilvakhin. Tomáš Hanus conducts.
A second cast will showcase Juliette Mars and Zoryana Kushpler.
Performance Dates: Oct. 2-13, 2025 & March 23-31, 2026
Attila Mokus, Christopher Maltman, David Butt Philip, Malin Byström, Tareq Nazmi, Florina Ilie, and Daniel Jenz headline Beethoven’s “Fidelio” in a new production by Nikolaus Habjan. Franz Welser-Möst conducts.
Performance Dates: Dec. 16-30, 2025
Federica Lombardi sings the title role in Verdi’s “Luisa Miller” in a new production by Philipp Grigorian. The cast will also include Roberto Tagliavini, Freddie De Tommaso, Daria Sushkova, Andrea Mastroni, and George Petean. Michele Mariotti conducts.

Jan Lauwers directs Mozart’s “La Clemenza di Tito” featuring a cast that includes Katleho Mokhoabane, Hanna-Elisabeth Müller, Florina Ilie, Emily D’Angelo, Alma Neuhaus, and Matheus França. Pablo Heras-Casado conducts.
Performance Dates: March 9-27, 2026
The final new production of the season will be Bizet’s “Les Pêcheurs de perles.” Kristina Mkhitaryan, Juan Diego Flórez, Ludovic Tézier, and Ivo Stanchev star with Daniele Rustioni conducting. Ersan Mondtag directs.
