Fortas Chamber Music Concerts Announces Fall Season
By Francisco SalazarThe Fortas Chamber Music Concerts has announced its fall offerings as part of its 2026-27 season.
The concerts will take place in spaces at the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design at The George Washington University.
In a statement Jennifer Koh said, “The Fortas series has always been about bringing the great works of the past into conversation with the extraordinary composers and artists of today. Presenting these programs in the round brings audiences even closer to that dialogue. In a 360-degree setting, the distance between artist and audience falls away, creating an intimate, communal space where we can experience music as a living conversation and share in the discovery, vulnerability, and artistic process that unfolds in every performance.”
There is a lone vocal performance on offer for the new season. Bass-baritone Davóne Tines and John Bitoy perform a Recital No. 1: MASS,and music by Caroline Shaw and Tyshawn Sorey. on October 14 in the Hammer Auditorium.
Performance Date: Oct. 14, 2026 at Hammer Auditorium, Flagg Building at the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design at GWU
