The Teatro de la Maestranza has announced a cast change for its upcoming recital “Donne disprezzate.”

The theater announced that mezzo-soprano Ann Hallenberg will replace Anna Bonitatibus, who was forced to cancel due to laryngitis.

Hallenberg is a well-known baroque singer who has performed at the Theater an der Wien, BBC Proms, LA Philharmonic, and Palau de les Arts. She is set to sing the title role of “Agrippina” this season in Seville and Stockholm.

Hallenberg will perform alongside concertino-director Andoni Mercero and the Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla.

The mezzo-soprano will perform a new program with arias by Pietro Torri, Antonio Vivaldi, Giuseppe Maria Orlandini, and George Frideric Haendel.

The concert is set to be performed on Jan. 18, 2020.
