OperaFest LA Announces 2026 Lineup

OperaFest LA returns in 2026, continuing the collaborative celebration of opera across Los Angeles.

The Wallis hosts the “OperaFest LA Kickoff “Panel and Performance.

Performance Date:April 11, 2026 (The Wallis)


Long Beach Opera presents “Central Park Five.”

Performance Date: April 11, 2026 (440 Elm, Long Beach)


The Industry hosts “Listening Parties” which blend live performances with recorded work and conversation centered on the future of opera as a multidisciplinary art form.

Performance Dates: April 15 & 16, 2026 (Monk Space)


LA Opera’s “Faust” is next.

Performance Dates: April 18 – May 10, 2026 (Dorothy Chandler Pavilion)


The USC Thornton Opera Program and USC Thornton Symphony present “The Turn of the Screw.”

Performance Dates: April 22 & 23, 2026 (Bing Theatre)


LA Opera presents “James Conlon Farewell Concert.”

Performance Date: April 24, 2026 (Dorothy Chandler Pavilion)


O-Lan Jones and Fahad Siadat’s “Original Vision,” part of Overtone Industries is performed. Stage direction is by Jones and Livia Reiner. Music direction by Siadat.

Performance Dates: April 24 & 25, 2026 (Highways Performance Space)


“Noah’s Flood” is performed by LA Opera as part of its Cathedral Project.

Performance Dates: May 8 & 9, 2026 (Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels)


The new opera, “Hysteria” by Molly Pease and Divya Maus is next.

Performance Date: May 17, 2026 (First Congregational Church of Los Angeles)


Countertenor Key’mon Murrah and Les Talens Lyriques perform works by Handel, including selections from “Ariodante” and “Julius Caesar in Egypt.” Christophe Rousset conducts.

Performance Date: May 24, 2026 (Zipper Hall)


Beth Morrison Projects presents Jodie Landau’s “Performance of Self.”

Performance Dates: May 29 & 30, 2026 (REDCAT)


“The Magic Flute” put on by LA Opera is next.
