Amici Opera is set to present Verdi’s “Otello” this July.

The Philadelphia-based company recently reopened its doors in June for a performance of “La Forza del Destino.”

“Otello” will be presented on Saturday, July 12 at 3 p.m. with an ensuing performance set to follow on Sunday, July 18 at 4 p.m., both at Redeemer UMC in Philadelphia.

All audience members will be seated apart from one another in order to ensure social distancing protocols. Moreover, every audience member must bring their own masks and will be required to wear them at all times in the building. Hand sanitizer will be readily available as well.

Furthermore, the performance will feature a reduced cast on stage.

The opera will feature soprano Béatrice Beer as Desdemona and Robert McFarland in the pit.
