Amanda Forsythe & John Holiday Headline Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra’s 2023-24 Season

The Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra has announced its 2023-24 season.

“This season LACO explores connections between new and timeless music and the relevance of those works in the world today,” said music director Jaime Martín in an official press statement. “Musical lineages, divergent perspectives, and unexplored realms will be revealed through LACO’s singular artistry. I look forward to the collaborations between LACO’s gifted artists and our stellar guest artists as we delve into many of my favorite pieces from the past and visionary works from living composers.”

For the purposes of this article, our focus will be solely on vocal performances.

Bass-baritone Thomas Bauer will join the ensemble in music by J.S. Bach. Concertmaster Margaret Batjer leads the ensemble during the performance.

Performance Dates: Feb. 3 & 4, 2024 

Jaime Martín leads a performance of Pergolesi’s “Stabat Mater” with Amanda Forsythe and John Holiday as the soloists. The concert also features music by Bach and Mozart.

Performance Dates: March 30 & 31, 2024

The company will also feature two new music concerts.
