The Thirteen has announced its 15th season, “In Our Time.”

The season opens with Johannes Brahms’ “Ein deutsches Requiem,” performed in the composer’s own version for piano four hands with pianists Brian Ganz and Eric Conway, paired with Margaret Bonds’ “Credo,” a setting of a text by W.E.B. Du Bois.

Performance Date: Oct. 16 – 18, 2026

The program “Reincarnations” pairs Samuel Barber’s “Reincarnations,” a setting of James Stephens’ Irish lyric poems, with Thomas Tallis’ votive antiphon “Ave Rosa Sine Spinis.”

Performance Date: Nov. 13 – 15, 2026

The Thirteen presents a complete production of Händel’s “Messiah.”

Performance Date: Dec. 19 & 20, 2026

British composer Joby Talbot’s “Path of Miracles” traces the medieval pilgrimage route of the Camino de Santiago through four movements set to texts in multiple languages, paired with projected images by Camilla Tassi.

Performance Date: Feb. 5 – 7, 2027

The Thirteen presents a fully staged production of Bach’s “St. Matthew Passion” at Washington National Cathedral.

Performance Date: March 13, 2027

The season concludes with “US In Our Time,” an exploration of American voices and contemporary stories featuring a world premiere commission from Ashi Day alongside works by Ted Hearne, Scott Ordway, and Caroline Shaw.

Performance Date: April 30 – May 2, 2027
