Ailyn Pérez, Nadine Sierra, Isabel Leonard, Christine Goerke, Elza Van Den Heever Headlines New Met Stars Live in Concerts

The Metropolitan Opera has announced two more performances as part of its Met Stars Live in Concert series.

First up is “Wagnerians in Concert,” a showcase that will star sopranos Christine Goerke and Elza van den Heever, tenor Andreas Schager and bass-baritone Michael Volle. The concert will feature accompaniment by Craig Terry as well as arias and duets from “Der Fliegende Holländer,” “Lohengrin,” “Parsifal,” “Das Rheingold,” “Tannhäuser,” and “Die Walküre.” There will also be a performance of Wagner’s “Wesendonck Lieder” and the final scene from Strauss’ “Die Frau ohne Schantten.”

The showcase is set to take place at Hessisches Staatstheater, in Wiesbaden, Germany.

“Three Divas” will star Ailyn Pérez, Nadine Sierra, and Isabel Leonard live from the Château de Versailles in France. The trio will announce their program at a later date.

Finally, the company announced that Angel Blue has withdrawn from her previously announced recital for personal reasons.
