The Academy of Vocal Arts has uploaded the graduation recital for this year’s group of student artists, making the concert available online to share the fruits of their learning as schools and universities remain closed due to the coronavirus.

Joined by pianist Jose Melendez, this year’s AVA graduates are sopranos Claire de Monteil and Rebecca Gulinello; tenors Abraham Breton, Mackenzie Gotcher, and Oliver Sewell; baritone Timothy Renner; and bass Brent Michael Smith.

The Academy of Vocal Arts is a Philadelphia-based organization that trains upcoming opera singers through instruction as well as performance opportunities in fully-staged opera productions, giving them the skills needed as they move forward in their careers. Notable alumni include Joyce DiDonato, Latonia Moore, James Morris, Ailyn Pérez, Angela Meade, Ruth Ann Swenson, James Valenti, and Michael Fabiano.
