Countertenor Andreas Scholl debuts on the Naïve Classiques label with longtime collaborators Alessandro Tampieri and Accademia Bizantina in a Neapolitan program of works by Porpora, Vinci, Anfossi, Battista, and Vivaldi centered around the Virgin Mary.
Telemann: Ino & Late Works
The Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin and soprano Christina Landshamer present a Telemann monography, consisting of his cantata Ino and instrumental works composed in the same period.
NYFOS Records: The Singles, Vol. 1
New York Festival of Song releases an album drawn from its archives, NYFOS Records: The Singles, Vol. 1 features guest artists performing together with pianist and NYFOS Artistic Director Steven Blier on NYFOS Records.
The album features such stars Michael Spyres, Lorraine Hunt Lieberson, Kate Lindsey, Sasha Cooke, Bernarda Fink, Justin Austin, Kurt Ollmann, Brett Polegato, and Lucia Bradford alongside singing actors like Darius de Haas, Jennifer Aylmer, Hal Cazalet, James Martin, Dana Hanchard, and David Costabile.
Show Me the Way
Grammy-winning baritone Will Liverman and pianist Jonathan King release “Show Me The Way” on Cedille Records. Featuring 20th-century classical composers who were pioneers in the field, such as Amy Beach and Florence Price, as well as present-day composers like Sarah Kirkland Snider and Kamala Sankaram, the album also features guest performances by women who have helped shape Will’s artistry as a performer, composer, and curator including mezzo-soprano J’Nai Bridges, soprano Nicole Cabell, and soprano Renée Fleming.
The album also features a special guest performance by Will’s mother, Terry Liverman, who sings her own arrangement on the album’s final track, “If I Can Help Somebody” by Alma Bazel Androzzo.

Alive in the Electric Snow Dream
New Amsterdam Records releases “Alive in the Electric Snow Dream” by Grammy-award-winning Brooklyn-based producer and composer William Brittelle. The album was developed and recorded during the pandemic with Metropolis Ensemble, and features Jenn Wasner, Holland Andrews, and Eliza Bagg on vocals, Immanuel Wilkins on sax, Ben Cassorla on guitar, Paul Wiancko (Kronos Quartet, OWLS) on strings, Brad Balliett on distorted bassoon, and Brittelle on synthesizers, percussion, and electronics.
Hollywood Songbook
Mezzo-Soprano Valerie Eickhoff releases her debut album, Hanns Eisler’s “Hollywood Songbook” with pianist Eric Schneider. Released on the Ars Produktion Label, “the Hollywood Songbook” is a collection of art songs composed during the Hanns Eisler’s time in the United States after fleeing Nazi-occupied Europe. Originally written for voice and piano, these songs reflect Eisler’s experiences in Hollywood, blending his classical training with influences from American popular music.
