Ohio’s Dayton Opera has announced its 2023-24 season featuring four productions.

The season opens with “Prince Orlofsky’s Grand Masquerade.” It will feature Act two of “Die Fledermaus” with Kathleen Clawson directing and Neal Gittleman conducting.

Performance Dates: Sept. 16 & 17, 2023

Kathleen Clawson directs Sondheim’s “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.” Neal Gittleman conducts a cast that includes John Moore (Sweeney Todd), Ann Toomey (Mrs. Lovett), Joseph Lattanzi (Anthony Hope), Flora Hawk (Johanna), Christian Sanders (Tobias Ragg),  Ben Brady (Judge Turpin), Amanda Lynn Bottoms (Beggar Woman),  Carl Rosenthal (Pirelli), and Logan Wagner (Beadle).  

Performance Dates: Nov. 4 & 5, 2023

Kathleen Clawson directs a production of Puccini’s “Tosca” with Neal Gittleman conducting.

Performance Dates: April 20 & 21, 2024

The season closes with “An Afternoon with Will Liverman: Opera Star Recital”
