Washington Concert Opera to Present Opera Outside

By Francisco Salazar

On Sept. 12, the Washington Concert Opera will present “Opera Outside.”

The performance will be a casual outdoor concert on the upper field of Meridian Hill/Malcolm X Park and will feature soloists soprano Ashley Marie Robillard and baritone Efraín Solís accompanied by David Hanlon.

The event, which will begin at 11 A.M, will be free of charge with audiences of all ages welcome.

In case of inclement weather, the performance will be canceled as there is no other indoor venue available.

Opera Outside will mark the Washington Concert Opera’s return to live performances following the pandemic. This season the WCO will present “Maometto II” with Leah Crocetto, “Orfee” with Kate Lindsey, and  “Lakmé” with Erin Morley.
