El Teatro Villamarta de Jerez has announced its 2019-20 season.

The season opens with a Jazz “Le Nozze di Figaro,” in a production by Paco Mir with an adaptation by Jaume Vilaseca. Axier Sánchez, Montserrat Seró, José Julián Frontal, Lola Casariego, Mar Esteve, Xavi Fernández, and Francisco J. Sánchez star.

Performance Dates: Oct. 5 , 2019 

Carmen Jiménez, María Ogueta, José Angel Florido, and David Lagares star in “La Revoltosa.” The zarzuela will be directed by Miguel Cubero and conducted by Juan Manuel Pérez Madueño. The evening will also see “La Gitanilla.”

Performance Dates: Nov. 8, 2019

Leonardo Sánchez, Rocío Ignacio, Manel Esteve, Stefano Palatchi, Vittoriana de Amicis, Alba Chantar and José Manuel Montero star in Mozart’s “Die Zauberflöte” with Carlos Dominguez-Nieto conducting.

Performance Dates: Jan 24 & 26, 2020

Ismael Jordi will celebrate his 20th anniversary performing an evening of arias in an intimate recital.

Orff’s “Carmina Burana” will be presented with the Villamarta Theater.

Performance Date: May 8, 2020

Borja Quiza, Carol García, Quintín Bueno, Enric Martínez-Castignani, and David Sánchez star in Rossini’s “Il Barbiere di Siviglia.” Carlos Aragon conducts.
