Boston Modern Orchestra Project Unveils 2026-27 Season

Boston Modern Orchestra Project (BMOP) has announced its 2026-27 season under artistic director and conductor Gil Rose.

First up is “Delight of the Muses,” a program featuring soprano Julia Bullock performing Samuel Barber’s “Knoxville: Summer of 1915” and selections from Matthew Aucoin’s “The No One’s Rose,” Anthony De Ritis’s “Jiggedy Jingle Jaunty Jaunty” and Charles Wuorinen’s eponymous work.

Performance Date: Nov. 6, 2026


BMOP joins forces with Odyssey Opera to present the East Coast premiere of David T. Little’s opera “JFK,” with a libretto by Royce Vavrek, in a semi-staged production.

Performance Date: March 13, 2027


BMOP and Odyssey Opera will present a semi staged production of John La Montaine’s “Be Glad Then America.”

Performance Date: June 20, 2027
