Teatro Comunale di Ferrara Announces 2026-27 Season

The Teatro Comunale di Ferrara has announced its 2026-27 season.

The season opens with Verdi’s “Macbeth” in a production by Fabio Ceresa and Giuseppe Finzi will conduct.

Performance Dates: Nov. 27 & 29, 2026


“L’anno che verrà” by Lucio Dalla will be conducted by Roberto Molinelli.

Performance Dates: Dec. 11 & 12, 2026


“A Christmas Welcome” will showcase the BSMT Singers conducted by Shawna Farrell and Vincenzo Li Causi.

Performance Date: Dec. 22, 2026


Rossini’s “Il barbiere di Siviglia” will be showcased in a new production conducted by Massimo Raccanelli and directed by Adrian Schvarzstein.

Performance Dates: Jan. 15 & 17, 2027


“Dido and Aeneas” by Henry Purcell will be directed by Agata and Teodora Castellucci and da Vito Matera. Andrea Marcon conducts.

Performance Dates: Feb. 20 & 21, 2027


Mozart’s “La clemenza di Tito” will be directed by Chiara Muti and conducted by Ottavio Dantone .

Performance Dates: March 12 & 14, 2027


Verdi’s “Simon Boccanegra” will be conducted by Massimo Zanetti and directed by Pier Francesco Maestrini.

Performance Dates: April 9 & 11, 2027


The season closes with “Folks Songs e Procedura” by Luciano Chailly and Dino Buzzati.

Performance Dates: May 29 & 30, 2027
