Resonance Works is set to open its 14th season on Sept. 27, 2026 with “An Anchor in Time,” a concert program of choral and orchestral music performed at the Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall in Carnegie, PA.

The concert will bring together three distinct musical journeys through time. At its center is “An Anchor in Time,” composed by Gilda Lyons and originally commissioned for Resonance Works’ 10th anniversary season.

Featuring mezzo-soprano Timothi Williams and baritone Daniel Teadt, the work weaves together texts by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Søren Kierkegaard, and Christina Rossetti with the voices of children reflecting on memory, the present, and what lies ahead.

The program will also feature Aaron Copland’s “Appalachian Spring Suite” in its original scoring for 13 players and a choral “time capsule,” featuring the Resonance Works Festival Chorus. The selections move fluidly across centuries of choral repertoire, from Claudio Monteverdi to Pittsburgh musical legend Robert Page and beyond.
