The Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb announces its 2026-27 season.

Here are the opera performances.

Bizet’s “Carmen” is directed by Pier Francesco Maestrini, with musical direction by Pier Giorgio Morandi.

Performance Dates: Oct. 23 – 30, 2026

Lea Anastazija Fleger directs Poulenc’s “Dialogues of the Carmelites.” Hervé Niquet conducts.

Performance Date: Dec. 2, 2026

Strauss’ “Salome” directed by Marin Blažević and conducted by Ville Matvejeff and Darijan Ivezić.

Performance Dates: Feb. 5, 2027

The final performance of the mainstage season is Offenbach’s “The Tales of Hoffmann.” Krešimir Dolenčić directs. Ayrton Desimpelaere and Andrej Vesel conduct.

Performance Dates: May 14, 2027
