By David Salazar

Livermore Valley Opera has shared a slew of major updates.

First up, the company revealed that it returns to Garré Vineyard & Winery in Livermore, California for early evening outdoor concerts on Sunday, June 28 and Sunday, August 16, 2026. Each concert will feature a distinct program mixing Broadway favorites, operatic highlights, and popular standards in one of the Livermore Valley’s most scenic outdoor settings.

The company has also launched a $100,000 matching gift challenge, running through July 31. Thanks to an anonymous donor, every qualifying new or increased contribution will be matched dollar for dollar up to the full amount.

Finally, the company has named soprano Hannah Cho as the recipient of its 2026 Young Artist Performance Program. Earlier this year, Cho performed the role of Rosina in the opera company’s touring production of Rossini’s “The Barber of Seville.” Cho also appears on Huang Ruo’s “An American Soldier,” nominated for a 2026 Grammy Award for Best Opera Recording.
