
Conservatorio G.Verdi di Milano to Present Rediscovered Opera ‘La Rosiera’
By Francisco SalazarOn Jan. 26, 2026, Vittorio Gnecchi-Ruscone’s forgotten work “La Rosiera” will be performed at the Sala Grande del Conservatorio G. Verdi di Milano.
The performance will celebrate three occasions: the 150th anniversary of the birth of Gnecchi-Ruscone (1876-2026),the thirtieth anniversary of the death of maestro Gianandrea Gavazzeni (1996-2026) and 20th anniversary of the founding of the Associazione Ab Harmoniae Onlus (2006-2026).
The new rediscovered version of “La Rosiera” was edited by Denia Mazzola Gavazzeni and Marco Iannelli to create a new critical edition.
The work will feature young artists Yan Wang, Wonjung Kim, Elena Bresciani, Fulvio Ottelli, Yufei Wang, Giovanna Aquilino, and Hsiaopei Ku. Denia Mazzola Gavazzeni will sing the lead role. The Orchestra Sinfonica Colli Morenici will be conducted by Nicola Ferraresi.
The opera will be recorded for an upcoming album for Bongiovanni Bologna.
