The Women in the Arts & Media Coalition (WAM Coalition) will honor artists creating new interdisciplinary work during the 2025 Collaboration Awards, “Women Working with Women.”

Among the finalists are Jocelyn Hagen and Kao Kalia Yang for their opera, “The Song Poet.” The work is recognized as the first Hmong story brought to the operatic stage.

The WAM Coalition is a non-profit organization representing more than 100,000 women and nonbinary artists in the performing arts and media through its member organizations and affiliates.

The gala will be held on Dec. 6, at 6 pm, at Houghton Hall Arts Community in Manhattan.
