The Sofia Opera Wagner Festival has announced its 2026 slate.

The company will present “Der Ring des Nibelungen” in a production directed by Plamen Kartaloff. Cast will be announced at a later date.

Performance Dates: May 26 – 31, 2026

Plamen Kartaloff will also direct “Lohengrin.” Cast will be unveiled at a later date.

Performance Dates: June 12, 2026

“Tannhäuser” will star Martin Iliev, Petar Buckov, Alma-Lisa Bandalovska, Gabriela Georgieva, Daniel Ostretsov, and Atanas Mladenov.

Performance Dates: June 14, 2026

Additionally, the company will stream past performances of “Der Fliegende Holländer,” “Tristan und Isolde,” and “Parsifal” on June 5, 6, and 7, 2026, respectively.
