
Baritone Olivier Zerouali to Headline Chamber Music Concerts at Catharine Clark Gallery
By David SalazarCurrent Adler Fellow Olivier Zerouali will be featured in two concerts presented by the San Francisco Opera Orchestra and Boxblur.
The baritone will appear alongside a quintet of distinguished musicians for two evenings of chamber music at the Catharine Clark Gallery on Wednesday, Oct. 15, and Friday, Oct. 17, 2025. The musicians include violinists Craig Reiss and Mariya Borozina, violist Emily Liu, cellist Peter Myers, and oboist Ben Brogadir.
The program will feature Jesse Montgomery’s “Strum,” Joan Tower’s “Island Prelude” for oboe and string quartet, Dmitry Shostakovich’s String Quartet No. 7, Missy Mazzoli’s “Death Valley Junction,” and Caroline Shaw’s “By and By” for string quartet and voice.
The concerts will complement exhibitions by Nanci Amaka, Lenka Clayton, and Katherine Vetne, whose works explore women’s labor, reimagined domestic spaces, and memory as a creative force through paper, textiles, and video.
On Friday, audiences are invited to a VIP champagne walk-through from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., with an opportunity to meet the musicians before the performance.
Concerts begin at 6:30 p.m. on October 15 and 7:30 p.m. on October 17, with doors opening 30 minutes prior.
