Cate Blanchett has been announced for a concert with the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

The Oscar-winning actress will join Gustavo Dudamel and the orchestra as narrator in Beethoven’s Egmont, with reimagined narration by Jeremy O. Harris.

The program will also include music by Ricardo Lorenz and Schumann, and will include pianist Yunchan Lim and soprano Elena Villalón.

Blanchett was recently seen in the film “Tar” about a conductor who is accused of sexual harassment. The film went on to garner seven Academy Awards and garnered rave reviews, especially for Blanchett’s performance.

The performances will take place between Feb.  12 and 15, 2026.
